Good trip - This is a very pleasant experience on a calm sunny Sunday afternoon. The trip lasts an hour and goes round Coquet island. The highlight was seeing the large seal colony... read more on both the shore and close up by the boat. It costs £20 each and in my opinion it is worth it.

Great trip - Great trip on the boat with a smooth journey. Saw loads of seals but didn’t realise it wasn’t the puffin season. Great commentary and information from the crew... read more as well
Okay, if you don’t mind being squashed… - I was really looking forward to the trip, being a keen birdwatcher and wildlife enthusiast. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by the manner in which passengers are crammed into the... read more boat.
The trip I went on was fully booked, so there was very little room to move around, and I ended up sat in front of a lady and her dog. Said lady seemed to either be unable to, or not care about, keeping her dog under control, meaning it kept knocking me in the back. She knew the dog was agitating me, but then proceeded to complain about the dog being too heavy for her lap (after she had finally made it sit down), amongst other complaints about not being able to see the wildlife, my husband using his camera, etc. etc.
I didn’t confront her or make a scene because I just don’t do that in front of my children. I’m also autistic, so the incident with the dog had put me in a really uncomfortable and stressful position.
I know this company seems to be keen to stress that they do not overcrowd boats, but they will fill every seat possible. Other companies in the area are quite happy to offer trips with 12 or less people on board, and leave space to move around, so I think we will choose an alternative next time.
It’s a shame the physical side of the trip was so distracting, because I appreciate the work that goes into protecting Coquet Island, and it is nice to see wildlife thriving there.
Puffin great show. - Just missed the main puffin season, but the rest of the seabirds were great to see.
Puffins Galore - Called and booked this the day before. Was a perfect day little wind and warm but cloudy morning. We caught the back end of the Puffin season. There were Puffins... read more on the water, in the air and on the island. Just a fantastic sight. Immediately followed by being amongst many seals. At least 100+ they were really close, as were the Puffins. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend. The guys on the boat were helpful and informative. This trip was a highlight for us and will live long in the memory.
Fantastic Boat Trip to Coquet Island. Puffins and Seals 🦭 Galore - Last minute decision, in Amble early am and think we got the last 2 places on the boat. It didn’t disappoint, loads of Puffins, seals, a millpond and sunny weather.... read more Lots of other seabirds too. Great commentary, very informative and just really enjoyed watching all the seals and Puffins .
I love that the island is left to the wildlife, and the boat didn’t land or was overly intrusive.
Wonderful trip, lots of birds and seals - The weather was hot, the Noth Sea was like a millpond, great conditions for a poor sailor. The conditions were so good that 2 extra sailings were squeezed in as... read more the tides allowed. the boats were very full so there was no moving around on board, but the crew made sure everyone got a good views.
We rang to book and then went to there office which is in a pod at the end of the 'harbour village' to pay and make sure we were booked on.
A few days after our trip the boat was lucky to be accompanied by dolphins, we are so jealous.

Brilliant commentary without being intrusive - the wildlife's safety was the the top priority.
*I especially wanted to see these Terns that nest on the island. The skipper on my trip (Steve) could not do enough to ensure I had great views. His deckhand / colleague was superb too.
Couldn't be faulted. Superb trip.
Puffin island - Very good other cheaper rides in the harbour but these guys CO-look after the island. £50 for 3 of us
